The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, announced today that VIP tickets for the 45th Annual Annie Awards are now on sale at annieawards.org/tickets. The 45th Annual Annie Awards ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at UCLA’s Royce Hall. The price of a VIP ticket admits you to the pre- and post- receptions, beginning at 5 p.m., and to the Annies ceremony at 7 p.m. All events will be held at Royce Hall.
Pricing for VIP tickets is as follows: ASIFA-Hollywood Members through Dec. 31, 2017 – $175; Non-Members, $200. Beginning Jan. 1, 2018, ASIFA-Hollywood Members – $200; Non-Members, $250.
General Admission tickets will be sold this year for $35 and can be purchased only through the UCLA Central Ticket Office (CTO) – (310) 825.2101, as well as through www.uclalive.org or www.ticketmaster.com.
General Admission tickets admit you to only the Annie Awards ceremony at 7 p.m.
Honoring excellence in the field of animation, the Annie Awards will be presented in nine Production categories (Best Feature, Broadcast Production, Short Film, etc.) and 22 Achievement categories (Best Animation, Direction, Production Design, Music, Voice Acting, etc.). Additionally, up to five honorary awards may also be granted for lifetime accomplishments, philanthropy, technical advances, special achievement and meritorious service.
Entries submitted for consideration will be from animated productions that were released in the United States between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2017. Exceptions are commercials, short subjects, special projects and student films, which can qualify with or without United States releases. Submissions close on Friday, October 20th at 5p.m. PST.
The deadline to become an Annie Awards Corporate Sponsor is midnight Friday, November 3rd, 2017. Final deadline to join ASIFA-Hollywood or to renew membership and register to participate in the 45th Annie Award voting is midnight Monday, December 18, however, receipt of screeners is not guaranteed unless memberships are current as of November 20th.
Created in 1972 by veteran voice talent June Foray, who passed away in July at the age of 99, and in whose name the philanthropic June Foray Award was established, the Annie Awards have grown in scope and stature for the past four decades. ASIFA-Hollywood is the world’s first and foremost professional organization dedicated to promoting the Art of Animation and celebrating the people who create it.
Today, ASIFA-Hollywood, the largest chapter of the international organization ASIFA, supports a range of animation activities and preservation efforts through its membership.
