TRAILER: “Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld” Premieres May 4 On Disney+

This week, Disney+ dropped the trailer, key art, and stills for Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld, the latest animated anthology series from Lucasfilm Animation. Created by Dave Filoni, the series will premiere exclusively on Disney+ just in time for May 4th, the ultimate Star Wars celebration.

This follows the success of Tales of the Jedi (2022) and Tales of the Empire (2024). The new series dives into the criminal underworld of the Star Wars galaxy, highlighting the experiences of two iconic villains. Asajj Ventress, the former assassin and bounty hunter, gets a second shot at life but must go on the run with an unexpected new ally. Meanwhile, the outlaw Cad Bane is forced to confront his past when he meets an old friend, now a Marshal on the other side of the law.

Dave Filoni, who created the series, is also the supervising director and executive producer. He’s joined by Athena Yvette Portillo and Carrie Beck as executive producers, with Josh Rimes as co-executive producer, Alex Spotswood as senior producer, and Matt Michnovetz as the writer.

The talented voice cast includes Nika Futterman, Corey Burton, Artt Butler, Lane Factor, AJ LoCascio, Clare Grant, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, and Eric Lopez.

Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld adds to the already expansive library of Star Wars content on Disney+, just in time for May the 4th.
