Starting tomorrow, July 14th, Sakamoto Days Part 2 will begin streaming weekly exclusively on Netflix. This time around, Jacob Bertrand, known for Cobra Kai has joined the English voice cast as a member of Slur’s gang, Gaku.

Sakamoto Days is based on the fan-adored manga created by Yuto Suzuki, following Taro Sakamoto, a retired hitman. In the first season, fans saw Sakamoto hold his ground against some of the most deadly assassins sent by the ominous X (Slur).  Part 1 managed to reach Netflix’s Global Top 10 on the non-English list for 10 consecutive weeks, a testament to its growing popularity among fans.

Synopsis

In this world filled with assassin-on-assassin violence, the special force “The Order,” Japanese Association of Assassins (JAA), and an obscure solo operative known as “X (Slur),” Taro Sakamoto must defend his corner of the world and find true strength. The once legendary hitman in the underworld has been retired since the day he fell in love and settled down. Now domesticated, Sakamoto earns a living as a simple convenience store owner. However, the world of hitmen haunts him to this day, and together with his telepathic employee Shin, he fights to protect his wife, child, and humble life from his dark past.
