You can’t really tell how good a movie is by the trailer – but this teaser for Batman Ninja looks amazing. Warner Bros. Japan is releasing, Jumpei Mizusaki (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’s) is directing from a script by Kazuki Nakashima (Kamen Rider Fourze). Character designer Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai) and animator Kamaikaze Douga take Batman (and various friends and foes) back in time to medieval Japan – and masterfully combine hand drawn and CGI. That’s all I need to know. Take my money. Here’s a look:

The Joker, Nightwing, Harley Quinn, Penguin, and Gorilla Grodd are all here. It’s not confirmed if this a direct-to-video – but here’s one vote to release it to theaters in the US, on the big screen.
