The Weinstein Company is expected to release the film in the U.S. sometime during 2017. Here’s the trailer:
Ballerina is being released by Gaumont in Europe. Theodore Ty, who animated on Dreamworks Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda, directed the animation. The $30 million English-language production employed ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied (Black Swan) to supervise the choreography. Motion capture was used to record Millepied’s performance.
