In the latest Spy X Family news, Crunchyroll announced the beloved animated comedy’s return in season 3 on October 4th, 2025, with new episodes launching weekly. A new trailer was released as well, with not only new scenes but a preview of the ending theme song “Actor.” 

The Forger family maintains their original voice actors for another season of slice-of-life shenanigans, with Takuya Eguchi, Atsumi Tanezaki, and Saori Hayami returning as Loid Forger, Anya Forger, and Yor Forger respectively. Wit Studio and CloverWorks remain the series’ duo of animation studios, with Yukiko Imai stepping up from episodic director to a full-on series director.

Spy X Family’s anime adaptation debuted in April 2022 and even from the beginning the show immediately began earning awards, winning Best New Anime Series at the 7th annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards for Part 1, and Best Comedy Series twice in the 7th and 8th annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards for Part 1 and Part 2. Since the release of Spy X Family Season 2 in October 2023, Anya Forger has won every “Must Protect At All Costs” Character category award in the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, taking home every fan’s heart in 2023, 2024, and 2025. The series’ popularity also earned it its first film, Spy X Family: Code White, a non-canon “what-if?” film exploring the Forger’s delightful family dynamic in new waters. 

Synopsis:

Top secret agent Twilight’s latest mission has him more stressed than ever, and he’s saved the world dozens of times.
