Two upcoming anime, Sparks of Tomorrow and Baki-Dou The Invincible Samurai, have had their streaming debuts confirmed for 2026 on Netflix.
The latest in the Baki-Dou series, Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai comes smashing in on February 26, 2026 exclusively on Netflix, continuing off from Baki’s legendary father-son duel with honour on the line. With no new and exciting battles to jump into, Baki and the rest of the fighters find themselves restless, until the plan to resurrect the greatest Japanese swordsman, Musashi Miyamoto, is put into action.
Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai is brought to audiences by TMS Entertainment, the same studio that produced Baki and Baki Hanmma. The series is based on the manga of the same name by Keisuke Igataki, published by Akita Shoten in Shonen Champion. Directed by Toshiki Hirano, with series composition by Tatsuhiko Urahata, and character design by Shingo Ishikawa, Baki-Dou: The Invincible Samurai has been put together by a team of well accomplished creators. The lineup of voice actors include Nobunaga Shimazaki as Baki Hanma, Akio Otsuka as Yujiro Hanma, and Naoya Uchida as Musashi Miyamoto among many other talents.

Sparks of Tomorrow, an anime adaptation based on “20 Seiki Denki Mokuroku,” will be creating a new age in July of 2026 on Netflix. The newly adapted story takes place in an alternate steampunk version of the 20th century, where two young children mourn the loss of a loved one and dream of an “Age of Electricity.” Together they search for the secrets of the 20th Century Electrical Catalog, which may reveal the path to a new future.
From the original author Hiro Yūki of “20 Seiki Denki Mokuroku,” Sparks of Tomorrow is presented by Kyoto Animation, directed by Minoru Ota, with Tatsuhiko Urahata providing series composition, and Kohei Okamura serving as the character designer and chief animation director. Most notably, the cast features Yuma Uchida as Kihachi Sakamoto and Sora Amamiya as Inako Momokawa.
