This December, the swashbuckling and fearless feline, Puss In Boots, returns.
It’s been over a decade since Dreamworks last released a film from the Shrek universe. In this all-new story, Puss learns that his lifetime of daring adventures has taken a toll on him. Out of his nine lives, he has used all but one. The journey to retrieve the missing eight will prove to be his biggest quest to date.
Once again featuring the talent of Academy Award® nominee Antonio Banderas, Puss In Boots ventures into the Black Forest in order to find the Wishing Star. But in order to restore his lost lives, Puss has no choice but to seek assistance from his former partner turned nemesis, Kitty Softpaws (Oscar® nominee Salma Hayek Pinault).
On their journey, Kitty and Puss are also joined by the overly cheerful dog, Perrito (Harvey Guillén, What We Do in the Shadows). As the three come together to search for the Wishing Star, they must keep ahead of Goldi (Oscar® nominee Florence Pugh, Black Widow) and the Three Bears Crime Family, Jack Horner (Emmy winner John Mulaney, Big Mouth) and the fearsome bounty hunter, the Big Bad Wolf (Wagner Moura, Narcos).
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish features the voice talents of Oscar® winner Olivia Colman, Ray Winstone (Black Widow), Samson Kayo (Sliced), Emmy nominee Anthony Mendez (Jane the Virgin) and Tony nominee Da’Vine Joy Randolph (Trolls World Tour).
The return of the infamous Puss In Boots, The Last Wish is directed by Joel Crawford and produced by Mark Swift. This is the same creative duo responsible for DreamWorks’ Animation’s hit, The Croods: A New Age. The executive producer of The Last Wish is Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri.
Puss in Boots first appeared in the 2004 Oscar®-nominated Shrek 2, and instantly became a popular sensation all over the world. In the years that followed, the character of Puss starred in two other Shrek films, a solo feature, and more. Over the years, the Shrek and Puss In Boots franchises have grossed over $3.5 billion worldwide.
