The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences today announced the shortlist for the 91st Oscars in the category of Animated Short Film. Ten films were selected out of Eighty-one films qualified in the category. Members of the Short Films and Feature Animation Branch vote to determine the shortlist and the nominees. The films, listed in alphabetical order by title, are:

Nominations voting begins on Monday, January 7, 2019 and concludes on Monday, January 14th, 2019.
Nominations for the 91st Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019.
The 91st Oscars will be held on Sunday, February 24th, 2019, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, and will be televised live on the ABC Television Network.
