From Netflix’s 10th anniversary celebration in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, comes exciting news for anime watchers. The new anime series Baki-Dou will debut on Netflix in 2026, exclusively on the streaming service. Also arriving in 2026 is the second part of Beastar’s Final Season. To build anticipation for the popular anime’s final chapters, Netflix released all-new teaser images.

The announcements came during a special talk show hosting a collaboration between both series’ creators, Keisuke Itagaki (Baki-Dou) and Paru Itagaki (Beastars). Celebrating up until September 14th, Netflix’s 10th anniversary celebration treats fans to experiences from the platform’s most beloved Japanese shows.

Baki-Dou

After Baki’s tremendous battle with his godlike father Yujiro Hanma, a new foe appears beyond the pale. Miyamoto Musashi, Japan’s greatest swordsman, is resurrected, and among fellow warriors like the “God of War” Doppo Orochi, Kaoru Hanayama, and Jack Hanma, a legendary new clash awaits.

Beastars

Newly released stills of Legoshi and his classmates give a sneak preview for the upcoming continuation of the highly awaited adaptation. The series’ eye-catching 3-D animation, designed for capturing the original manga author’s style, remains until the end in all its glory.

“As fangs and horns clash, friendship, love, and pride–everything will be put to the test in this intense climax. What does it mean to live beyond the boundaries of species? Is love a source of strength, or of weakness? Director Shinichi Matsumi commented. “The finale of this work is not only their story, but also a question posed to the world we live in. Please watch until the very end.”
