Hanna-Barbera was one of the most influential American animation studios of the 20th century, shaping the landscape of television animation. Founded in 1957 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, former MGM animators best known for creating Tom and Jerry, the studio revolutionized animation with cost-effective production methods suited for television. Hanna-Barbera produced an extraordinary roster of iconic series including The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, Scooby-Doo, The Jetsons, and Jonny Quest. Its characters became staples of Saturday morning cartoons and popular culture worldwide. The studio’s vast library helped launch Cartoon Network in 1992, ensuring its legacy endured well beyond its absorption into Warner Bros. Animation in 2001.

This is one of the largest and most complete offerings from this legendary animation studio,” says Jim Lentz, Vice President of Animation Art at Heritage Auctions. “For animation art collectors, this Showcase represents a rare opportunity to acquire hard-to-find vintage artwork from a studio whose characters remain icons of Americana and pop culture.”
