In collaboration with Shout! Studios, GKIDS has released Blu-ray DVD sets for Dan Da Dan Season 1, the record-breaking anime phenomenon of 2024. Fans can choose between the all-new standard edition or the collector’s edition, both containing two discs and bonus content. The collector’s edition includes exclusive extras for fans to enjoy, such as a 32-page booklet, art cards, and a die-cut sticker.

Sci-fi and horror meet hilarious rom-com in the hit manga of the same name, created by Yukinobu Tatsu. Dan Da Dan is the latest series from Science Saru, the studio behind The Colors Within and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. Kensuke Ushio, famous for his work on Chainsaw Man and The Colors Within, has already created several popular tracks for the series.

Season 1 of Dan Da Dan is also available to stream on various digital platforms, like Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Google Movies, YouTube Movies, and Fandango At Home. Bonus content in the Blu-ray sets includes an interview with the filmmakers and composer Kensuke Ushio, commemorative interviews, a director’s scene breakdown, teasers and trailers, along with the opening and ending credits.

Synopsis

In Dan Da Dan, Momo comes from a family of spirit mediums, while her classmate Okarun is an occult fanatic. Both bullied growing up for their niche beliefs, one day they meet after Momo stands up for Okarun, but their clashing interests spark a heated debate. They dare to prove the other wrong, that only ghosts or only aliens are real. Unfortunately, both are, and their newfound friendship is tested battling the occult and unravelling their feelings for each other.
