Among some of the latest news from Crunchyroll, the fan-favorite The Beginning After the End has been confirmed to continue into its second season next spring. To build excitement for the highly anticipated Season 2, Crunchyroll has snuck in an exclusive clip in the current season’s finale post-credits, set to stream June 18th.

Straight from studio A-CAT, The Beginning After the End, adapted from TurtleMe’s original comic series, has been directed by Keitaro Motonaga, best known for The Kingdoms of Ruin. Series composition was put together by Takamitsu Kono, credited for A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special, featuring character designs from Masami Sueoka, who previously worked on The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord’s Army was a Human, and music by Keiji Inai, one of the many talents behind Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?.

“The Beginning After The End continues to be a top fantasy series on Crunchyroll, with strong fan anticipation for the next season,” Crunchyroll’s Chief Content Officer, Asa Suehira, stated. “The unique series has sparked passionate discussion among Crunchyroll’s global fan community and that will continue in the new season.”

The Beginning After The End Synopsis

King Grey is reborn as Arthur Leywin after his mysterious death, and grows determined to fix the mistakes he made in his past life. The Beginning After the End follows his path, mastering magic and growing from the man he used to be, as the child he became.

In addition to the Season 1 finale of The Beginning After the End airing next week, fans can also look forward to the one-day release of Given The Double Album: Hiiragi Mix & To The Sea this weekend, arriving in theaters only on June 16th, one week ahead of its premiere on Crunchyroll. This double feature consists of the second film of the series, Given The Movie: Hiiragi Mix, and the third film of the series, Given The Movie: To The Sea.

Given The Double Album: Hiiragi Mix & To The Sea was both created and directed by Noriko Hashimoto, adapted from the manga made by Natsuki Kizu, and produced by studio Lerche. The double feature runs at 152 minutes, and is available in Japanese with English subtitles. Distributed to North America by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment, tickets are available only for the United States and Canada.

Given The Movie: Hiiragi Mix Film Synopsis

The moment Ritsuka heard Mafuyu Sato sing, he knew Mafuyu had to join his band. Given still attracts attention even after a failed audition to perform for a festival in Shibuya, but Mafuyu’s childhood friends Shizusumi Yagi and Hiiragi Kashima intend to debut their own band, “syh.” However, after losing a guitarist, Hiiragi asks Ritsuka to join them.

Given The Movie: To the Sea Film Synopsis 

Hearing Mafuyu sing led to Ritsuka regaining his passion for music. Together, their band Given is on the path to greatness, but Mafuyu questions whether he should even be the group’s singer. He runs into an old friend after declining Ritsuka’s invitation to the festival in Shibuya, but finds this may be just what he needs to perform again.
