We on this website are huge fans of the forthcoming Looney Tunes Cartoons that will debut next year on Warnermedia’s HBO-Max streaming service. These new shorts perfectly capture the spirit and humor of the original theatrical cartoons from the golden age. We want everyone to see these – and will make every effort to let you know how you can do so – as soon as you can. With that in mind, we are alerting local Los Angeles based fans that one – The Curse of The Monkey Bird – will be screening publicly the next seven days to qualify for Academy Award consideration.
The Curse of The Monkey Bird will screen once each day at 1:00pm at Laemmle’s Music Hall Theatre.

Written by Bob Tzudiker and Noni White, the cartoon concerns the efforts of Porky Pig and Daffy Duck in tracking down the rare Monkey Bird in an “Indiana Jones”-like temple of doom. Eric Bauza (Daffy) and Bob Bergen (Porky) provide the voices. The short may receive a more widespread national release later this year.
