As Devil May Cry Season 2 continues this May 12th, Netflix recently released a new teaser trailer and posters hinting at Dante and Virgil’s childhood backstories and hardcore rivalry. Fans can look forward to a greater scope of stakes this time around, as suggested by the recent promotional content.

The anime adaptation is based on the popular videogame series of the same name, with Adi Shankar’s creative vision brought to life with Studio Mir, the same studio behind The Legend of Korra, Voltron: Legendary Defender, and Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts. After a successful eight episode season one, fans of Dante will be delighted to know Johnny Yong Bosch reprises his role for the upcoming season. 

Synopsis

Devil May Cry follows Dante, a vigilante demon hunter who happens to be a half-demon himself. When dark forces open a portal between the human and demon realms, Dante finds himself thrust into the heart of the chaos. Little does he know, the fate of the world may very well depend on him.
