Following The Legend of Hei 2’s theatrical release in North America, Shout! Studios is set to distribute the film on digital platforms and Blu-ray™ this upcoming May 12, 2026. The Legend of Hei 2’s physical media arrives for fans who missed the limited theatrical release back in September of last year, as well as collectors of everything surrounding the adorable cat spirit Xiaohei.

Both films of The Legend of Hei franchise are based on the webtoon The Legend of Luo Xiaohei by MTJJ, with the sequel switching production to Hanmu Chunhua. Praised for its emotional storytelling and quality animation, The Legend of Hei brings fans back to the out of balance world of spirits and humans—this time with bigger stakes, action, humor, and heartfelt moments.

Synopsis
