Witch Hat Atelier’s upcoming anime adaptation receives a brand new trailer and key visual for the new year, revealing voice cast and both opening and ending themes, as well as its scheduled release of April 6, 2026. The stunningly whimsical anime with a darker underbelly will be streaming only on Crunchyroll outside of Asia, introducing more fans to an underrated gem.

In addition to the latest promotional material, the official voice cast for Witch Hat Atelier has been announced. The main cast includes Rena Motomura as Coco and Natsuki Hanae as Qifrey, with Hibiku Yamamura as Agott, Kurumi Haruki as Tetia, Hika Tsukishiro as Richeh, Yuichi Nakamura as Olruggio, Misaki Kuno as Brushbuddy and Mitsuki Saiga as Iguin.

The latest trailer also revealed the anime’s opening song from Eve, “Kaze no Ansemu feat. suis from Yorushika,” and the ending song from Nakamura Hak, “Tada Utsukushii Noroi.”

Since Witch Hat Atelier’s serialization in 2016, the manga series by Kamome Shirahama has earned worldwide praise and sold over 7 million copies. For its heartfelt storytelling, it has won several international awards, such as the Harvey Award and Eisner Award. With the upcoming anime adaptation, Witch Hat Atelier will only continue to grow in popularity.

Synopsis

Only witches have magic potential in Coco’s world, and they study to share their enchanted tools and gifts to improve society. But Coco wishes for the impossible, to become a witch despite being born an ordinary person, and upon finding a spellbook she discovers the “absolute secret” behind witches: Anyone can cast magic. Qifrey takes Coco under his wing as an apprentice while a sinister plot looms, and the inequality of keeping magic hidden weighs a heavy burden on both witch and outsider.
