The highly anticipated My Hero Academia prequel, My Hero Academia: Vigilantes charges back into the action with Season 2 on January 5, 2025, exclusively on Crunchyroll. With this announcement, Crunchyroll released a new trailer and key art, showcasing characters that have yet to make their debut.

Not only this, but the artists for the opening and closing theme songs were unveiled. The opening “CATCH!!!” is performed by THREEE, while the closing “Miss you” is performed by shytaupe.

Season 2 has been adapted from the series’ original manga by Hideyuki Furuhashi, Betten Court, and Kohei Horikoshi, and directed by Kenichi Suzuki, best known for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders and Cells at Work! Both the script and series composition were crafted by writer Yosuke Kuroda, who previously worked on the main My Hero Academia series and Trigun. Returning to produce the franchise once again, studio Bones Film animated the upcoming Season 2.

Additional talents behind Season 2 include character designer Takahiko Yoshida, art director Yukihiro Watanabe, color designer Haruko Nobori, director of photography Eiei Cho, 3DCG director Mizuki Sasaki, editor Kiyoshi Hirose, and sound director Masafumi Mima. Music was composed by Yuki Hayashi.

Synopsis

Koichi has long since given up on his dream of becoming a hero, and has settled into his monotonous and routine college life. But when he and the idol Pop☆Step are saved by a vigilante by the name of Knuckleduster, his dream could still become a reality, only as a vigilante instead!
