Star Wars: Visions returns on October 29th, 2025, to Disney+ with a third installment of unique cultural shorts. Volume 3’s original Japanese trailer and English dub are out now to watch. From among the ranks of Trigger, Wit Studio, Polygon Pictures and more, comes 9 different shorts, 9 different anime studios, brought together under the banner of the award-winning Star Wars: Visions.
Released in 2021, Volume 1 of Star Wars: Visions was nominated for an Emmy for its “The Duel” short. The second volume released in 2023 followed in its success, earning an additional Emmy, Lumière award, and Annie award. Volume 2 contained a selection of shorts from various studios, featuring Aardman, Cartoon Saloon, Triggerfish, and Punkrobot. Now, Volume 3 sets out to continue the previous volumes’ format and showcase nine more shorts from nine different anime studios.
For this next volume, James Waugh, Josh Rimes, and Jacqui Lopez take the helm as executive producers, alongside Justin Leach as the co-executive and Flannery Huntley and Kanako Shirasaki as producers.

A synopsis of each studio’s short is as follows:
“The Duel: Payback” – Kamikaze Douga + ANIMA
A sequel to Volume 1’s Emmy-nominated short “The Duel,” and animated by the same studios in conjunction, Ronin’s battles with the Sith are far from over, as a new and powerful Jedi appears, bent on revenge. Even with new allies on his side, can this wandering warrior claim victory again?
“The Song of Four Wings” – Project Studio Q
A former princess faces off against the might of the Empire, willfully rebelling to protect a child in the snow.
“The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope” – Production I.G
Stumbling upon a mysterious abandoned ship adrift in space, Kara encounters a mysterious droid. Perhaps with the droid’s help, Kara may escape the Jedi Hunters pursuing her.
“The Bounty Hunters” – Wit Studio
A bounty hunter’s job turns for the worse, as a shady contract endangers herself and her droid.
“Yuko’s Treasure” – Kinema citrus Co.
To rescue his droid caregiver, an orphan joins forces with a street kid in search of lost treasure.
“The Lost Ones” – Kinema citrus Co.
A sequel to Volume 1’s “The Village Bride,” the Jedi Padawan F finds her past has caught up to her, all at the worst time, surrounded by refugees she was trying to save.
“The Smuggler” – TRIGGER
In dire need of a paycheck, a smuggler takes on a mission to save a fugitive from the clutches of the Empire.
“The Bird of Paradise” – Polygon Pictures
Left blinded and conflicted, the temptation of the Dark Side calls to a hot-headed Jedi Padawan. Thus, she’s left with no option but to face spiritual trials and overcome the twisted call.
