Announced April 18th, 2025, from New York and Denver, Studio Ghibli Fest continues celebrating the studio’s 40th anniversary with screenings of eight more historic films in both their Japanese and English dubbed versions. This new roster of films will be available throughout the year world-wide, starting with Kiki’s Delivery Service on May 17th and ending with The Boy and the Heron at its last viewing this year on November 19th. With at least one Ghibli movie in theatres per month, new and longtime fans can enjoy some of the legendary studio’s greatest hits until the end of the year.

As a continued collaboration between GKIDS and Fathom Entertainment, this year’s second lineup for Studio Ghibli Fest features both revolutionary co-founders Isao Takahata’s and Hayao Miyazaki’s work in Grave of the Fireflies and Kiki’s Delivery Service respectively. Director Hiromasa Yonebayashi’s The Secret World of Arrietty celebrates not only the 40th Ghibli anniversary, but its 15th anniversary as it screens live from June 22nd to June 24th. Each feature will include special extra content throughout the year, and tickets are now available for purchase.

Studio Ghibli Fest is a shining example of the power of celebrating great content in theatres and we are thrilled to partner once again in 2025.”

“GKIDS is thrilled to return once again with an annual event celebrating one of the most iconic and celebrated animation studios in the world,” President of GKIDS David Jesteadt added. “We look forward to continued partnership with Fathom Entertainment on another great year of films from Studio Ghibli, including the first-ever national re-release of Hayao Miyazaki’s latest masterpiece, The Boy and the Heron.
