Yesterday, on March 5, 2025, Crunchyroll revealed the North American and international theatrical release dates for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle. The eagerly awaited film from the renowned studio Ufotable will premiere in North American theaters starting September 12, 2025, in IMAX and other formats. Audiences can enjoy the film in Japanese or English, with English subtitles or the English dub available. The announced international release dates can be found below:
The story begins with Tanjiro Kamado, a boy who discovers his family slaughtered and his younger sister, Nezuko, transformed into a demon. Determined to regain her humanity, he joins the Demon Slayer Corps. Since its manga and anime debut, Demon Slayer has only soared in popularity, becoming a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. The upcoming three-part cinematic film brings the final chapters of the series to life on the big screen and will be distributed worldwide by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment, except in Japan and select Asian territories. Originally created by Koyoharu Gotoge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has been directed by Haruo Sotozaki.
Synopsis
Since joining the Demon Slayer Corps, Tanjiro has grown stronger with his trusted teammates, Zensitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira, facing off against demons time and time again. Over the course of his journey, Tanjiro has fought alongside some of the highest-ranking members of the Demon Slayer Corps—the Hashira, including Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui, Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito, and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji. While the Demon Slayer Corps undergoes strength training to prepare for the anticipated fight against the demons, known as the Hashira Training, Muzan Kibutsuji suddenly shows up at the Ubuyashiki Mansion. As danger approaches, Tanjiro and the Hashira find themselves thrust into an unknown territory—the demon’s stronghold, the Infinity Castle. The final battle between the opposing forces shall now unfold in an epic showdown.

Following the exciting reveal, Crunchyroll has announced a collaboration between Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and the MLB World Tour Tokyo series, with pre-season games starting on March 15 and 16, and opening games beginning on March 18 and 19. A promotional short, released by studio Ufotable, features fan-favorite anime characters like Tanjiro and Nezuko in a baseball setting. The short also includes a lesson on the history of Japanese baseball, with Shohei Ohtani, Shota Imanaga, and others making appearances.
