In honor of Donald Duck’s 90th birthday, Hot Ones released a special episode featuring the beloved Duck himself.  On the show, he shares that Daisy challenged him, and Mickey Mouse is backstage to offer support as he tries different Disney-themed flavors of hot sauce (with cauliflower wings, of course.) The host of the hit show, Sean Evans, has a fun lineup of questions for the cartoon star, but it’s hard for Donald to keep his cool. Literally.

Donald Duck is a true Disney legend. He’s well-known for his hilarious tantrums and impassioned performances onscreen. His popularity has earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and his footprints are immortalized outside the Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

“Mickey and Donald are pop culture icons, so it made perfect sense to have them on one of the internet’s biggest shows,” mentioned Tim Pennoyer, Director of Brand Marketing at Disney.

This special was handled by renowned animator animator Eric Goldberg, who is famous for his work on Aladdin and Pocahontas.  Tony Anselmo plays Donald, and Bret Iwan plays Mickey, and the animation was overseen by Walt Disney Animation Studios.

“It was an honor to direct Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse on this episode of Hot Ones. Donald might get cranky, but the team had a blast animating him,” noted Goldberg. “It was a lot of fun working with Sean Evans and the voices of Donald and Mickey, Tony Anselmo, and Bret Iwan.”
