
The infamous Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced their nominees today – and included in the mix were their choices for Best Animated Feature. As expected, Disney’s Frozen 2 (Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck) and Pixar’s Toy Story 4 (Josh Cooley) made the grade; The Missing Link (Laika Studios; Chris Butler) and How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World (Dreamworks; Dean DeBlois) joined the front runners. The big surprise was the nominee of Disney’s “live action” Lion King (Jon Favreau). The Golden Globes will be awarded in a ceremony from the Beverly Hilton on Sunday Jan. 5th. The 76th Golden Globes will air live at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on NBC.
